It was one of Miller's very few comics, I only know of one other, but it is amazing, his art needs to be seen to be believed. I also thought Herbert's writing translated well to the comics medium, the use of visuals in place of prose for conveying Herbert's macabre and tragic events was great (I don't know exactly how much input into story Ian Miller had, but his gothic fantasy design is all over it). Herbert's use of deadpan tone for describing horrific stuff also works well.Jazathothhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08452392938446117222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6035679663902350821.post-48765247372313899102018-11-08T15:42:27.267-05:002018-11-08T15:42:27.267-05:00I don't think you'd be able to handle THES...I don't think you'd be able to handle THESE rats...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12870576605925499770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6035679663902350821.post-48336469384660481302016-11-30T14:04:11.188-05:002016-11-30T14:04:11.188-05:00Currently reading a beautiful set by Centipede Boo...Currently reading a beautiful set by Centipede Books. It had such an anti-hero for a protagonist and a twist I NEVER saw coming.

Glad you liked the story. I really should read them again here sometime soon, since I don't really remember to much about them.

I mainly wanted to thank you for talking about James Herbert. You are the only person that I have heard talk about him or his books. Then again, I haven't really gone out of my way to look either. It is nice to know I'm not the only person that reads his books. I have most, but not all, of his books.

Like you, I love his novels. I have always ben surprised that more people don't talk about Herbert when it comes to great horror authors. The one book I had to most trouble tracking down was "The Fog". I could not find it at any book store I went to. One store was willing to look for out of print books though. On a long shot I asked them to look for "The Fog" and they did find me a copy. The original hard back even. I don't really recall how much I paid for it but it was more than I had spent on a book before or sense. It was well worth it though since I love his books.Heather Santroushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03225708725622936749noreply@blogger.com
