In addition to the usual reviews and comments you would find on a horror movie blog, this is also a document of the wonderfully vast horror movie section of the video store I worked at in my youth.

DKTM 242

Hey everyone, and Happy belated Turkey Day to my friends below the border. Here's what I've got for you this week,

Take My Monies.

Here are two more crowd-funding projects that are worth considering;

The makers of this year's horror darling The Babadook, are now taking pre-orders for a publishing run of the gorgeous pop-up book featured in the film.

For eighty bones USD, you can have your very own handmade, limited edition copy of the Babadook. To check out the campaign, click here. And as a bonus, here's a short video on the making of the original tome.

Does a movie where Rowdy Roddy Piper kicks Cthulhu's ass sound like something you'd like to see? Well, you need look no further than Portal To Hell!

Todd Brown and Steve Kostanski are good people, so whatever they sign off on, I'm in. For more on how you can contribute, click here.

Slashers, NES style.

Some clever bastard went and made a NES adaptation of Freddy vs Jason, using their two individual Nintendo games from the late eighties. Check out the art and gameplay clip below. Great stuff!

Urban Haunts.

Here is a really odd little short I came across this week called This Is How You Haunt Your House. Directed by Will Mayo, it is part instructional video, part mind fuck. Check it out below.
