In addition to the usual reviews and comments you would find on a horror movie blog, this is also a document of the wonderfully vast horror movie section of the video store I worked at in my youth.

Mondo Monday!

How this for some great news to start the week! Austin's own Mondo is teaming up with Intervision Picture Corporation to launch a series of rare home video titles in collectible VHS format. The first on tap is Ted Prior's 1983 SOV slasher, Sledgehammer. Here's the announcement trailer.

Wow, man. There's nothing quite like a horror movie shot on video, is there? I could almost turn my head and see the fake wood panelling of my parent's basement. Click here for the official press release from the Alamo's Zack Carlson.

You can get your hands on Sledgehammer through Amazon starting tomorrow, but the collector's edition VHS will only be available through Mondotees.com starting Wednesday.
