Hey gang. I had a fantastic time in Oshawa yesterday, but I'll talk about the highlight of that trip tomorrow. For now, here's some news from this past week.

Seven... Inches?

Recently, the Japanese toy company Bandai announced it would be making a Sadako (from the iconic J-horror film Ringu) action figure. Take a look below.


As reported on Good Kind of Geek, Sadako will also come with accessories, like a TV set (which she can be disassembled to crawl out of) and a VHS tape!


The Sadako figure is set to release in July for fourty-five bucks. For more images, check out the GKoK post here.

Atta Boy Mike!

This is some great news. ScreenDaily is reporting that Mike Flanagan's new film Oculus isn't even out yet (it releases in theatres next week and BY GOD you should go see it) and it looks like the US rights for his next film Somnia have already been snapped up. 


Featuring the solid cast of Thomas Jane, Kate Bosworth and Annabeth Gish, Somnia focuses on an orphaned child whose nightmares become flesh when he is asleep. It is scheduled for release in 2015.
