Twenty-eight years ago this week, Don Coscarelli unleashed Phantasm II upon the world.
This second stanza of the series has always been my favourite, largely because it was the first one I saw, but it's also the one that is the most balls out - pardon the pun. I revisited it again recently, and was struck by how much Raimi's Evil Dead 2 influenced the kinetic visual style. Regardless, Phantasm II is the shit.
