In addition to the usual reviews and comments you would find on a horror movie blog, this is also a document of the wonderfully vast horror movie section of the video store I worked at in my youth.

Kid Horror.

I recently discovered, much to my nostalgic glee, a new box of my childhood drawings, scribblings and clippings in the archives. It was filled largely with chaotic pencil-crayon spaceship battles and crude graph papered dungeons, but after some digging, I did find this;

Have you ever wanted to see horror movies through the eyes of a seven-year-old? Well, look no further.

The thing that first struck me was how atrocious my spelling was circa 1982. I'm glad to say my penchant for drawing edged weapons hasn't changed. It is still my doodle of choice during the countless hours I spend on the phone during the week. Also, as rudimentary as my drawing skills were, it seems I had absolutely no willingness to render the food in Alice's fridge. What's for dinner tonight? Red X's and O's! Yum.

Honestly though, with all the carnage and misery staring back at me from that box of papers, I had to ask my parents if they were ever worried I was going to grow up to be a psychopath.

“Noooo,” was my mother's reply. Good to know.

This is awesome! Man, I wish I had my old Metroid drawing from when I was a kid. I knew this dude in 5'th grade named Ryland who would draw nothing but colorful Freddy comics. He was obsessed with Freddy. He was an awesome dude.
