In addition to the usual reviews and comments you would find on a horror movie blog, this is also a document of the wonderfully vast horror movie section of the video store I worked at in my youth.

DKTM 113

Man, I can't believe it's August already! Before I go out and enjoy this summer weather, here are some cool discoveries from the Web this week.

Sideshow; Front & Center.

After watching G4’s extensive coverage of Comic-Con, I think the thing that most impressed me was the Sideshow Collectibles booth. The quality of their 12” statues is unmatched. My favourite? This statue of fearless hero Isaac Clarke from the video game Dead Space.

God help me if Sideshow is at the Fan Expo this year. If their ridiculously amazing figure of Babydoll is there, I could be in some serious financial trouble.

Teddy Go Boom!

Here below, is the teaser for the upcoming locally-produced martial arts/action flick Teddy Bomb.

As you can see, it looks like a lot of fun. I was surprised to learn from director Justin Decloux that the video store in the clip wasn’t actually Eyesore Cinema, but a stage set up to look like its interior. Movie magic, people!

A Bloody Good Read.

Here’s something really cool that popped up in my Facebook feed this week. It is a Web comic called “Our Bloodstained Roof” by Ryan A. I loved the art style and how he utilized the online medium here. I won’t tell you anything more, I’ll just let you experience it for yourself. Click on the image below to check it out.
